‘Handzeichen’ symposium in Wuppertal
A symposium on the theme of hand drawing at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal, Fakultät Architektur und Bauingenieurwesen on 14 November 2018 featured different voices on the power of drawing to understand and shape the world: Elizabeth Hatz’s intense graphite drawings, Miroslav Šik’s meticulous drawn constructions, William talking about using drawing to extract logic from found situations and to unlock the memories and knowledge of the body. And Flix’s joyous exploration of the old East Berlin, with the classic cartoon character Spirou.
